This constant sound tends to block the softer sounds of songs. I can turn the volume up on my music app to hear the soft passages, or can turn it down to protect my ears from the loud ones...but I'd like a music app that would do this automatically for me.

Are there any Android music players with that capability?

Thank you.
I use Musicolet. It is super-simple and I'm not a fussy listener and sound quality isn't number 1 for me, so it may not be right for others. It doesn't officially have a compander, but the equalizer (which I have never used, but might now!) sounds like it might do what you are asking for. I don't think that it will compress the volume, but you can have it get rid of certain frequency ranges if that is the issue.
