Bottomline, I always close them AS credit cards when fee comes up absent a compelling retention offer. Then I reapply.
Will keep the original card and pay the $100 annually and will certainly use the companion fare for domestic travel.
Will get the summit card soon mainly for the $2 spend for 1 status point (vs 3:1 currently). At minimum will spend fro routine use about 60K annually. If we decide to pay various taxes with card for points and pay the added charge then higher.
Hopefully can gift the boardroom access to spouse. I can use the Wi-Fi access quarterly.
The 25K points discount seems weird and not sure how this will work. We usually pay for transatlantic trips but I suppose will have to look for reward flights.
I’m not sure what waivers fees and taxes means for reward tickets with OW partners? This could be a usable benefit I suppose.
