I was expecting an instant approval as I have only 1 BofA card (another Alaska card which I've had for years), have active deposit accounts with them, and am at 1/12, 3/24 for new accounts, high income, 800+ score. Going on vacation next week so would have been awesome to have the card in hand, but there's nothing they can do to expedite the process.
Same! Annoying. I called and got a kind but unhelpful agent who said I was not declined and I will get a letter shortly with further instructions, and said she can't give me anymore details. On a whim I called again and got a very helpful agent who said, again, I was not actually declined, and that in the next few days I will get a letter with a prepaid return envelope, and I will need to mail them a recent pay stub. He said once they get the pay stub to verify my income, based on everything else in my application, I should be approved and good to go. I also mentioned that my pay stub won't reflect the annual income I gave them since I included my expected year-end bonuses, and he said that it's not an issue, they aren't checking that it matches, just want to verify income.
Feels totally random - I have a card with them already in great standing and 780+ credit. Also for those who get the same message and want to call - the number is 1-877-261-3664.
