We flew back from Marrakech in June to London Stansted. Our flight was due to depart at 2015 and arrive at 2350. While we were called for boarding, there was an extensive delay and we ended up not departing until around the time of our scheduled arrival. We arrived into London at 0255 the next day. The reason given was that our inbound plane was rerouted due to bad weather. We have claimed compensation from Ryanair and raised a dispute withe the Aviation body. Do we have a claim as the issue was not with our flight, nor with the weather at Marrakech (flights seemed to depart and land throughout, or certainly throughout most, of the duration of our wait). In that sense, the issue was one of rotation and lack of aircraft on Ryanair's part rather than adverse weather preventing take off for 3+ hours.
