You are 25mins drive from either the Botanical Gardens (I found hot and dull, but I had a childhood scarred by visiting gardens) and L'Aventure du Sucre which I really enjoyed. The resto is also 20 mins from Port Louis which is maybe worth s half day for the Central Market and a meander to get the vibe.
