Apparently LATAM announced in 2024 that Lifetime status is on its way. I don’t follow that program too closely so I missed it:
15 years or more of Black or Black Signature status since the year 2000 grants Lifetime Black*
20 years or more of Platinum or higher membership since 2000 will get you Lifetime Platinum*
*Platinum is mid-tier status (think OWS or *G) and Black is the second highest tier.
The status years
do not need to be consecutive. The LATAM Pass site also gives you a table showing what status from LAN and TAM’s respective programs before the merger would map over to LATAM Pass tiers.
Interestingly, the English version of the site fails to mention Plat status counting towards the 20yr requirement while the Spanish version does.
