Credit where it is due. Had a much more pleasant stay than when I last stayed 2 years ago. I completed a 5 night stay here for the 4th of July weekend. Got a good point redemption @ 72k/5 nights (or ~$230/night inclusive of resort fee) while the Las Vegas Marriott was asking 170k points ( or ~200/night), albeit still had to pay the resort fee at the Westin. Housekeeping now daily and they revamped the breakfast menu. The lobster Benedict was fire and is covered in the breakfast welcome amenity. The pool has also been renovated and there are now cabanas available. Staff were fine but nothing to write home about. Still prefer the Las Vegas Marriott, but at this price point, the Westin was a better value, especially with the improvements from my last stay.
Have not stayed at the Las Vegas Marriott since their renovation but I will see how it compares next time I am at the LV Marriott
