They said that Elite get two drinks of wine or beer at the bar as well as dessert to two on each day you are there as part of the compensation for the resort fee.

Agree with the recent reviews - I will not stay at the Westin Las Vegas anymore due to the noise issues.

The room doors are designed to slam shut even if you try to shut them gently. The doors, as mentioned by numerous posters, are thin. Therefore, you hear very loud slamming noises any time someone leaves or enters their room at all hours of the night and morning. This woke me up numerous times even while wearing ear plugs on recent stays. This for me is reason enough to stay somewhere else.

On top of that, it is a very depressing hotel. I know Westin is supposed to have calm and neutral colors, but this hotel takes it to the extreme. There is no indication whatsoever in your room that you are in Vegas.

It is a nice location, but being on the strip, for me, is even nicer.

I have taken to staying at the Caesar's properties. The rooms are much more comfortable and well appointed and it works out to be cheaper than the Westin even though I have no elite status with Caesars.

If you want status there, you could always get the $95 Wyndham CC and do a status match to Caesars Diamond to get the waived resprt fees and lower room rates.

I don’t drink alcohol or eat plants. That makes the resort fee useless for me. I have a stay there in August. I usually stay in the Renaissance in Vegas, but the Westin will be walking distance to everything I’m doing. I’m lifetime platinum and hoping the breakfast buffet has real eggs at least for the welcome gift

There is no breakfast buffet, but you can order from a special menu in the restaurant. Real eggs are definitely an option. Information is as of December 2022.

I checked out last week. The casino credits are no longer included. For dessert you could pick anything from the restaurant menu which had three options: an apple tart, a chocolate cake or butter cake. The room I had felt very dated and the closet was very uncomfortable.

For what it's worth, the dessert portions are massive. Easily sharable by two people.

That sounds great, but it's against my medically prescribed diet. The best I can do is give away the dessert to somebody else.

Stayed here for before July 4th. Echoing what others have said in the thread: besides the location, this hotel sucks. This hotel has no business charging a resort fee. As many others have echoed, besides the drink tickets and 2 comp bottles of water/day, the fee will be useless to most people. Funny the bottled water in the room had a tag on it that said "complimentary"; uh not really I already paid for it in the resort fee . On another note, housekeeping only came if requested. IMAO, for the price point, housekeeping should be automatic. This also means your 2 "comp" bottles of water will not be replenished in room if you do not ask.

I opted for the points instead of breakfast gift because all options were a-la-cart/order off menu. I know that may not have been the best value option but I typically only take the breakfast amenity when a buffet would be an option which this hotel did not offer.

For the price point, folks that are not necessarily loyal to Bonvoy properties, will be better off booking a hotel directly on the strip if they care about location. I think the rooms here are only marginally nicer than a lower tier strip property such as the Flamingo. However, for people loyal to Bonvoy who prefer to be off-strip but still relatively close to the action, this property will basically be the only choice. For me, I will be going back to staying at the tried and true Las Vegas Marriott next time even if it means I have to walk a little farther.

On another note, I booked a rate that included parking and the FDC said he would take care of it. However, when I got my final folio the day after I checked out, I find out I still got billed for parking so I am in the middle of getting that sorted. Shame on me for not double checking the folio while checking out!

That was longer than I thought...getting off the soap box now!
