Quite confused, can't tell much from the seat maps on UA and ANA (it is on UA stock, code share). Also, if in the mini-cabin, does economy have access to the nearest lav? Right now I've booked 10 D & F both directions in the mini cabin (which we enjoy doing on LH for better service). Am very open to being told it doesn't matter, all rows center section are fine/same, etc. Thanks..

Business Staggered (77W/788/789/781) seating thread [consolidated] for discussion of the 787-9 business class seats. The short answer is that there is not really any difference between the DF and EG seat pairs. All middle seat pairs have a table and privacy divider in the middle, which prevents seeing/communicating with your seatmate. Rows 7 and 13 are the most desirable for couples, as the privacy divider can be moved at those rows only. PE and economy do not have access to business class lavatories; this is strictly enforced. By the way, the rear cabin has 5.5 rows and the forward cabin has 6.5 rows, so it is not quite a "mini" cabin, unlike the low-J 789s with 2.5 rows in the rear cabin.
