1. If we misconnect in London, would BA pay for the transfer to Gatwick airport to catch the direct flight to Tampa?
Maybe; but if you do end up on BA, do not expect to get extra-leg-room seats.
2, When we misconnected in London two years ago, the BA agent did not give us a choice, and put us on Virgin Air. What are our rights for choosing our new fligthts? We are on an economy award with AA Mileage Plus seats, and husband is AA Lifetime Platinum.
I think you mean "Main Cabin Extra" seats; "Mileage Plus" us the name of United's frequent-flyer program. I'm not sure that you can insist on being re-routed on an AA trans-Atlantic flight, but you can always ask.
3. I don't have a Priceline account. Can I use booking.com to get our last minute hotel in DFW just as well?
No account is needed to book an "Express Deal" on Priceline. As to the other poster's concern about booking via a third-party site rather than directly with the hotel, it is often not possible to find the same low, last-minute prices by booking directly with the hotel as by booking through a site like Priceline.com
Thanks again!
You're welcome!
