Indeed, it is subjective and that is one of the beauties of wine.

While my opinion ultimately matters the most to me, I also like to see what professional tasters who I follow think of wines that I am interested in (and how their opinions change with time). In the case of the 2005 Palmer, they view it as being in its infancy and having decades ahead of it.

I would probably not touch it for at least another decade (or two). It is an amazing wine from an historic vintage. The fact that EK was/is serving it is amazing, although I wish they kept it in the cellar for many more years before releasing it.
