The Sheraton Riyadh is an older hotel - here are my impressions and photos:
Pros:
- Upgraded to a Junior Suite (the only higher thing available online was a Two Bedroom Villa, which I wouldn’t expect an upgrade to)
- Bed was comfortable - medium mattress, plush covers for climate, plush pillows
- Shower pressure was fine and temperature control was stable
- Large desk
- No issue with late checkout
- Walkable to STC metro station
Neutral:
- Lounge was 6th floor elevator lobby - chocolate pudding was decent - but offering was not as extensive as Marriott
- Only option was restaurant breakfast (they told me this was included) - food was okay, but nothing was great - machine coffee was fine
Cons:
- Several “Ministry of Tourism - Notice to Evacuate” signs (but unclear why and when) - made me nervous - kind of ominous - property seemed to have a quiet vibe
