For a *G you have departure (or connection to any *G flight) airport access for any international itinerary.
There are weird rules for UA *G and above which generally give you United club access even at the US destination airport which don't apply here
So, no, the questioner clearly has UC access at EWR even coming in on a different airline. I actually don't know the answer at AUS, but I would give it better than 50/50 shot as long as the asker is gold or higher on United.
