Same for AS flights, when calling guy says he now sees 2 numbers in the system but was able to remove the old one (again their website did not offer to change FFN at all).
This I still need to check, it is still in the what I call "cool down / sync phase"

If you want to swap number be prepared for multiple rounds with agents, double (better triple) check and do it all well in advance your journey so all the backend systems / databases / whatever have enough time to sync...
Update on this:
First round of FFN swap for AS flights did not work, system still showed 2 numbers (and BA as primary when pulling the reservation up online).
2nd attempt now got a more knowledgable agent who "had seen this before", so thankfully she knew her clicks better.
She removed both FFN, saved it so all fields showed empty and then added AY number again.
Now it shows the AY number also when I look up the reservation online, so hopefully the entire itinary is now "Finnair-ed"
