All of the checkpoints will be getting renumbered overnight on April 16 with the new checkpoint numbers being live at 4 a.m. on Thursday, April 17. The new Checkpoint 1 on the Baggage Claim Level will be opening soon and will be an additional checkpoint at SEA which brought the need to renumber to keep the security checkpoint sequential. They are labeled starting from the south and working towards Checkpoint 6 at the far north end.
So the "old" checkpoint 1 will become 2, 2 will become 3, and so on. Chkpt 6 (old 5) is closed for construction

Looks like the new Checkpoint 1 won't actually be open yet, but when it does, it'll be for all passengers (general, precheck, clear), and the upstairs checkpoints will basically operate as they do today but with new numbers. The position of new checkpoint 1 looks interesting, though - seems like it will enter the terminal very close to the train.
