Reading through this thread and the one in the DL forum, I understand there isn't TSA Precheck for connecting passengers at the intl arrivals area. I have GE/Precheck/CLEAR and will be flying with hand baggage only. Would it be quicker for me to exit to landside and re-enter security, or should I stay airside and go through the connection security?
My connection is 1h40m, so not horribly tight without luggage. However, I'm cognizant of the hike over to the AS gates and possible delays out of KEF. It also looks like there are a handful of other international flights arriving at around the same time (IST, SJD, CDG, LHR) that might clog up the lanes. Just trying to stay ahead of the game!
Exiting and walking to Checkpoint 4 (if you're connecting to Alaska, have Clear, and Precheck) is probably going to be the way to go. Or Checkpoint 1 if it's open, but it closes at 4pm. If you are connecting to Delta, or generally in the A/B/S concourses, after 4pm, you're probably better off just waiting in line, since those are a backtrack from Checkpoint 4. 1 and 4 are currently the only Precheck checkpoints.
