Once we arrive on our UA flight, what would be the best strategy to clear the security faster? Are there two security points - one next to A gates and second - at B gates? It was mentioned that going to B gates and clearing security there is faster. Is this the case?

Thanks, this is good feedback. Is SK lounge at A gates or B gates? Have you been there after renovation in Feb?

I spent 10 years in Singapore and quite familiar with SK lounges in Asia and want to know if LHR lounge is at the same level as SIN lounge.
Heathrow is easy (in my opinion) just follow the purple transfer signs. There is a T-2B gate transit that is open in the mornings for T-2B to T-2B connections, it is right before the long tunnel with the moving walkways that take you to T-2A. I don't know if you need a B gate boarding pass or not to use it so that you could get into the departure stream in T-2B to immediately use the SKL or UC. Nevertheless, if you make your wayback to T-2A and you follow there purple signs there is a transit security, which may or may not be fast- it all depends in the amount of transit passengers. There is no way to predict that. Once cleared, go up the escalator and it lets you out in a small area next to the Plaza Premium lounge where agents check boarding passes. Clear that, and you're on the loose in T-2A where the LH lounge is (on upper level) and LH flights depart from. As I said above, the SilverKris lounge is in T-2B, as is the United Club. It's a trek back and forth from A-B-A and not really worth it.

Yes, gate information is shown ~1 hr prior to departure. This is common in Europe (Heathrow) and not a big deal at all.
