You should get points and status benefits (breakfast for Gold and Diamond) if you book through Amex Travel's The Hotel Collection.

I booked a prepaid stay through The Hotel Collection at the Hilton in Barcelona and got my points and free breakfast. The reservation showed up in my Hilton app almost immediately after I booked it on Amex Travel.
