I could see the upgrade (for both legs) from my account (Plat) but she showed no availability on hers (Gold). I swear this is the first time I've seen / heard about this.
I contacted EK twice and was told I'm entitled to "extra benefits" as Plat - but they refused to unlock the seats and upgrade with her miles, would only use mine. Is that not the most ridiculous policy ever - she gets the same upgrade, but they won't take it from her account. The mind boggles.
