Was in need of some points to top off my AA status. Booked a car through aadvantagecars, used the AA AWD (“Up to 5k offer” - promo that was active in feb) and gave my AA number. At some point I added my wizard number also to see my reservation on my account

receipt shows “estimated travel partner points: 3000” and earned is blank. Was also charged FFP fee.

After my rental I noticed I was given Avis points. Realized my account is setup to earn Avis points but immediately changed it to AA miles.

will this be a problem when it comes to earning AA miles? I understood in could only earn one or another. Can I call to remove to Avis points to better ensure I get AA miles? Help?!
