Ticketing sites offering a shorter than MCT connection is selling you two tickets which means you're between the two airlines or on you own if things don't go right.

The said ticketing site is none other than the AC site itself. I'm just worried that since the itinerary is constructed using the multicity search, I don't know if it would be a protected connection.
I think I will hold my breath as the trip is in June. Knowing AC a lot of schedule changes might still happen which could make this itinerary legal-er. And I'd be looking at other options if not for the discount code.
