Did this change recently? Thought NQ is not (similar to how SQ owns Scoot LCC TR and TR is not under star alliance ).
Talking about flying under a NQ flight number. If you have a NH or UA flight number (but operated by air Japan, that's considered NH star alliance not NQ). Don't think you can redeem a true NQ flight using AC miles though?

The ability to book as an award further supports (especially if NH flight number)
Some "ANA" flights are now operated by "Air Japan", impact / options for UA flyers?
