In this case, is AC's eUpgrade search assuming both pax are 50k? My assumption is that if I sponsor my companion for an upgrade, they clear immediately as well (because the search tool seems to imply there's space for both passengers)? I believe R=0 now for the flight(s) I am looking at. Domestic Canada, seems like it's a Latitude (B) fare.

Thanks, I took a leap of faith. Can confirm that waitlist instantly cleared for both pax, R=0, so the AC search tool was correct. I know eUp space can come from somewhere other than R, but was more worried I couldn't trust AC's IT being correct in this case.
