The survey I got was a "hypothetical" removal of long-haul bookable upgrades (at 1600 SPs) to be replaced by short-haul bookable upgrades (at 1000 SPs).

I replied NO as I WAS able to use the long-haul BUs last year to/from CDG and LHR. One BU left, which I hope to use soon. Found it easy to use, as long as I plan early. In my case, flight date was 6 months ahead, upgrade confirmation was within 24 hours.

Would be sad if this were eliminated. I was motivated to take two extra regional trips in J (purely mileage runs) to get to 1600 SPs. Good value I figured. I spent an extra US$2K, for the "free" J to F long-haul upgrade (x 4 sectors). YMMV.
