I've been living in Da Nang for the last 2 months. I just checked into the Crowne Plaza City Center for a quick staycation and I'm very impressed by the hotel. It's very cheap by points and cash, and has one of the best gym plus sauna/steam room combos out of any hotel, this includes several Grand Hyatts I've stayed in in Asia.
I think the old Crowne Plaza that's closer to the beach has closed down but someone can correct me on this. Although the beach in Da Nang is somewhat wavy, the sand and water is incredibly clean with not a speck of garbage I found. I have enjoyed swimming there.
I have one night in the Intercontinental coming up later. Was going to do the Voco ma Belle in March for a few nights but honestly thinking about doing the Crowne Plaza again.

Is the Crown Plaza ok? I don't mind spending the extra cash for a super high end experience, but she won't notice. She just wants a beach and pool. I am also looking at the JW Marriott and the Sheraton as well. I have status at both chains and lounge access with IHG FWIW. I am titanium with Marriott and Platinum with IHG.
