hi all - found a workaround that you can use without calling their odious CS and before OLCI, but it hinges on there being seats available and you will most likely have to travel seated separately unless you want to fork out for seats that come with an extra bag you don't need: you can add a space one or space plus seat up front for just one passenger from manage my booking. this gives you the overhead bag. enjoy!
