Dealing with eRewards requires being patient, thorough, and
assertive. You do need to be firm and not let them brush you aside. I still do eRewards because of AS redemption, it is much more useful than UA miles for my travel pattern.
Cases in point, DXB-DOH 7.5K coach 15K biz on QR. MXP-MCT-DXB with a stopover at MCT on WY Oman Air in biz 45K. Also MFM-TPE-FUK on JX Starlux with a stop at TPE 7.5K coach 15K biz.
Just 2 days ago quite a number of FTers were able to catch West Coast and Taipei on Starlux at 75K biz.
Not to mention you even can get AA TATL at 55K if you know how to do a tag flight to trigger it while UA TATL in 85K and up. AA itself often over 100K on the same flight AS at 55K Unless if you don’t mind to pay an arm and a leg on BA flight.
So yeah, I still put up with eReward. Just need to keep good records when their idiotic system denied you after you reach the end if survey, immediately open a ticket with the details and screen shot, firmly demand them to post credits earned (and cheated by the deliberately designed cheating system). I have no problem pointing out their system glitches caused denied credits. I even told them this made customers suspect the system was deliberately designed so. LOL
