The most recent approach, some have been successful with, is booking the Nov 2025 trip and then changing the trip to a date beyond the original expiration. Do not cancel, but change the dates. You will find numerous references to this approach in the recent months of this thread. No guarantees this will work as this is a changing landscape -- as UA tries to hold customers to their CoC policy on rebooking.

On a totally untraveled cancellation the FFC can be used for any destination bookable by UA.
