1. Understood that ETC plus TB cannot be used to pay for 1 ticket, can FFC plus ETC or FFC plus TB be used to pay for 1 ticket?
2. Why would this procedure not work if ticket(s) cancelled within 24 hrs of purchase? In that situation would refund be to the original form of payment?
3. What is the timeframe between cancellation more than 24 hours after purchase and receipt of FFC?
4. If the total of multiple FFCs is insufficient to pay for a ticket, can a credit card be used (along with the multiple FFCs) to pay the remaining balance?
5. Are there any fees or penalties or taxes (other than the usual taxes and fees) involved with cancelling a non-refundable ticket more than 24 hrs after purchase or with purchasing a ticket using multiple FFCs plus a CC if necessary?
6. If the total cost of a flight is less than the value of a single FFC, can the FFC be used and still have the remaining value available? If so, is a new FFC issued or the same FFC with a lower value?
Thanks again.
I added numbers to your questions so it's easier to respond accordingly
1. FFC cannot be used in conjunction with TB or ETC.
2. Canceling a non refundable (non basic economy ticket) within 24 hours will put the funds back to the original form of payment used. So if that was ETC you will get back an ETC.
3. When you cancel after 24 hours you should receive the FFC pretty much right away. You usually use the record locator of the canceled booking as the FFC to pay for a new ticket or you can find it in your account.
4. Yes, you can pretty much only use a cc - they won't allow using ETC or TB to pay the difference.
5. No fees for majority of tickets that are not basic economy (basic does incur fees).
6. Yes you can use funds left over on a future purchase, it will be on the same FFC.
