they are different cards. double cash and freedom unlimited are general spend cards, with cashback of 1.5-2%. freedom flex is most similar to custom cash, but the catergories are rotating, so it is still worthwhile to have custom cash. the categories also do not overlap that much
I converted all of my Citi cards to Custom Cash, except of Prestige and AT&T AM. I now have 10 of them. I converted DC and R+ to CCC as well, since they produce more points at the end. I have other 2x cards (BBP, VX, Priceline 2x).
