The reason I ask is I had another restaurant charge
pre-auth as the hotel, but when it posted, it posted as the restaurant and not eligible for the credit.
for aspire credit, this is good reminder to focus on local resort property on the HH list and use on food bev.

i used at restaurants inside or attached to hotel and asked if they use central property POS and able to room charge. also asked if they are HH employees or 3rd party franchise. if u ask enough FBI CIA super intrusive questions without looking suspect, u can figure out that ur food bev charges will be run thru their main hotel central POS and will show up as HH resort vs just restaurant. sometimes charges still post as HH RESORT-JOHN SMITH BAR GRILLE. and it counts. assuming cuz its under the primary blanket MCC for the resort.

As of 12/31/24 the $200 did not credit, but I checked it today (1/2/25) and the $200 did show up AND it was backdated as 12/31/24
I am likely not going to keep this trip because it was quite expensive but I don't know when I will cancel since it's so far out. Will update if I do cancel later this year to see if the credit is clawed back
thank you for the DP. nice reminder to find properties where depo is taken directly by the hotel and not another central HQ billing system like advanced purchase rates.

And the resort credit tracker shows 0 of $200 used for the current period, so I guess it credited to H2 2024.

Same thing - I prepaid on dec 31 for a stay on Jan 9th, and it posted on Jan 1, and I got the $200 credit for 1H2025, not 2H2024 as I was expecting. Do I have any recourse? My own fault for not doing it on 12/29 or 30, but would be nice to know if a phone call can get it applied for prior year.

Yeah, I looked at the T's & C's and found exactly as you mentioned. I'm going to call anyway tomorrow, worst they can do is say no.
any luck? seems aspire credit has post date requirement. pretty sure i got screwed before too. reminds me of dell credits. but other credits like FHR, post date doesnt matter.
