We can't find any actual info on the LAX airport website, or from any searches. IE: "After clearing customs walk to... catching bus 888".
On LAX Official Site | Traffic and Ground Transportation, click the "LAX Shuttle and Airline Connection" tab, you'll see A, B, C, E, M, X buses listed. You'll take the M bus.
The Metro Connector shuttles pick passengers up at the pink stops on the lower level.
