We are not talking about 8 hrs overnight?

On my current trip I just spent four hrs in the DEN Centurion lounge and afterwards (once I had my TK boarding pass) another four hours in the United Lounge. In between I took a walk through the terminal and out of security to the TK checkin counter to get my boarding pass.

While I considered a day room, visiting family in Denver or a museum, I ultimately decided that just staying in the airport would be the easiest (and cheapest). My TK flight was in J, so I got a good amount of sleep during the flight. And in the lounges I just did some work and some language lessons.

In MUC or FRA I would likely have access to the SEN lounges and would probably hang out there.

If don’t have an eligible passport for the e-gates, you could also use some of that time to visit the Bundespolizei and get (free) access for future trips via EasyPass-RTP.

EasyPass-RTP Enrollment

Or you could take the S-Bahn into town and explore the city if the weather is nice.
