Right, that part is clear. What isn't as clear is whether the combined EQM balance will earn threshold bonuses -- 50K RDM for 75K and Choice Benefit for 100K -- in addition to the status itself. That's what we were speculating about.

Correct. I'm hoping that the next round of announcements from AS will include near-term improvements in HA's generally lamentable elite benefits at or around the time of the status match, but we'll see. If nothing else, they ought to allow HA elites (native and matched from AS) access to extra legroom coach on something approximating the same basis as on AS flights.
