I have not found the 777 to be anything good either. Very slow, often completely dead. I am not sure why posters above are praising it. I hear there will be Starlink some day.
I did manage to connect to a videoconference once while on a 777, for all of three minutes but then the connection dropped and could not be reestablished. Maybe such use is supposed to be blocked, but it wasn't blocked for the first three minutes.

Not sure how that makes sense. If more people are sending data through the weak link, it will be slower per person than if (extreme case) there is only one user through the weak link..
