Insane. Las week I reached out to the Hotel Manager that had contacted my friend and cancelled his February stay and they never wrote me back. Last night I checked and saw that it was only 80k more to switch to the St. Regis for my stay (it went down) so we decided to transfer points to my Bonvoy account and make the switch. In less than 24 hours since switching the St. Regis has already emailed me about my stay asking for info and providing details on all they have to offer. Going with the sure bet and a more luxurious vibe made it a win win. Good luck!
