For Blumie and any other NOLA residents who may be picking up friends and family at MSY: I can’t believe it took me this long to come up with this idea, but there is a much better way to get your passengers than either Arrivals or Departures. Tell your people to go down to the baggage claim level, whether or not they have bags, and continue walking past the Arrivals doors out into the Short-Term parking garage. You can drive into the garage, cruise over to the spot where the doors to the terminal are located on the ground level, scoop up your pax, and zip right out again. No jockeying for a spot, and no charge for that garage for the first 30 minutes. Especially on a weekend like this, it’s a game-changer!
