I stayed there in August 2024 on a points redemption for two nights / one day (49k pts per night, flexible cash rate would have been 185 USD + resort fee + taxes booked two week prior to the midweek stay). The hotel has a resort fee (25 USD + taxes) and using points only, the fee does not apply. The hotel consists of different buildings. There are two storey buildings next to the pool (ground floor and first floor) and a "tower" with thee floors (no rooms on the ground floor). The central building sits between those two buildings. Here you find restaurant and check in desk and also the pantry where you can buy snacks. Locationwise is not right in the centre of Kew West but at the end of Overseas Highway.
There is a bar at the pool (the only option for drinks during summer). The hotel offers a shuttle to Key West (which stops at the Waterfront Brewery / Key West Bight Parking Lot). It runs hourly and also served other hotels (e.g. the Fairfield Inn next door). If you book with points, you can use the shuttle, which is part of the "amenity fee benefits". Secured (paid) Parking is available around the hotel (room key is used to get access).
Most of the rooms (the exception are a few rooms at the Tower building) open to a outside corridor. This means you need to lower the blinds otherwise everbody could look into your room. This menas you step also right into the room. Rooms are renovated and in good conditions. Designwise it is what you expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. Air Condition is wall mounted and noisy, but works effective.
Water pressure was okay (shower and sink). The closet it small and narrow and located in the bath. A safe is available in the closet. WiFi worked and very stable and reliable (VPN and Video Conference worked without problems). The mattress was firm and much to my liking. The room also had a sofa with a small table and fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Lamps were a bit dark as the whole room given the layout of the hotel and the need to lower the blinds.
Pool is free form with small Jacuzzi. Nice to have, though other guests were a bit annoying (loudy and noisy or constantly jumping and throwing a ball and hitting other guets in and outside of the pool). Pool is less busy early morning and later in the evening. water is provided free of charge from a water dispenser at the pool bar.
Check in was eifficient and there and you were invited to spin a wheel to get some additional perks (free parking, free breakfast, cocktail, use of cabana). I got the cabana which the agent exchanged to free parking herself imeadiately (... "you do not look like you could make use of it. I give you free parking instead" which was right), which was nice. Staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet was fully coverded, i.e. there was not need to additional charge (0 USD Folio)
I would stay there again, as the shuttle to Key West is nice to have and the location not in the centre of Key West had is advantages if you need or want to drive around.
