Happened to me.....on an AAA rate booked over the internet of nearly $300.....was told by the property REPEATEDLY it was too "low" and cannot be given credit....I had to call Diamond Line (and given the run around, saying that only INDIVIDUAL hotel can determine whether a rate is eligible...TOTAL BS!!!!)...

There we go again.......WHAT IS THIS SH*T WITH GP.....HOW CAN IT BE POSSIBLE THAT A SINGLE PROPERTY BE GIVEN THE RIGHT TO DENY A RATE????? I SUGGEST HYATT GP SORT THIS NONSENSE OUT.....I HAD OVER 150 NIGHTS WITH HYATT LAST YEAR....IT'S STILL EARLY IN THE YEAR, SO IF THIS WERE NOT RECTIFIED, I WILL ONLY STAY THE MINIMUM 25 STAYS (AT CHEAPEST PROPERTIES TOO, BETTER YET, USE PRICELINE TO RETAIN MY STUPID DIAMOND STATUS)......
I would even be frank and open, and willing to post all my correspondences with the Hotel, Hyatt GP Customer Service, to illustrate how BAD they handled this matter. To this date, the incident still left a VERY bad taste in my mouth, and gets me all irritated and excited when bringing up this very subject.
I would urge the OP to contact EVERYONE remotely relating to the property he stayed at -- Hyatt CS, Customer Relations, GP Concierge, Corporate Sales, Hotel GM, Front Desk Manager, and Hotel Complaints.....etc....just to let them know that how ANNOYING this PROBLEM with Hyatt GP it is.....The OP has my full support in pursuing this issue.......
Again, bad bad bad showing on Hyatt.....
