also i don't think the scanner is set to determine whether you do have fast track or not - hence the need for a human checker.
btw just by way of comparison, i flew IB express about a month ago, i was in Y and my bp didn't say fast track so i assumed maybe i don't have it. i used normal track in T3 and didn't end up with member of staff stand shouting at me. i think there may be a lesson here
finally the fact i am actually defending MAN security on this one feels very odd
No idea whether the rules have changed but at the time the website said "fast track" without disclaimer and the BP scanner worked.
It...doesn't surprise me...if the scanner doesn't know. At the time the other staff certainly seemed to take a successful scan as evidence that I was correct.
Regardless, only at MAN would staff go straight to shouting and spraying spittle in someone's face over a calm polite disagreement. And no-where but MAN does this sort of thing to happen to me.
