One (1) enroute stopover of up to 14 days is allowed per one-way on eligible international itineraries. On a roundtrip international itinerary two (2) stopovers are permitted with one (1) in each direction of travel.
Alaska phone agents are typically using the same inventory search tools as you see on the website. Cathay awards and possible workarounds for CX availability that won't show on the AS website are extensively discussed here:
