They set up a globalist lounge 3 nights (m,w,f) - great fruit, cheese, charcuterie plus and odd assortment of not hot fried food (French fries, fish sticks, chicken nuggets) that wouldn’t be good hot in my opinion (not the US level quality).
Free house wine and beer; I’m a wine snob but found the rose fairly good.
The suite is great, the wraparound patio is enormous and there was a shady place to sit at any given time.
Globalist recognition great service 9 times out of 10 very speedy (under 5 minutes). There was a huge storm and the roof in the hallway leaked, luckily my suite was fine. They offered to move me to a villa but it was my last night so didn’t bother.
Breakfast good with a lot of variety, although variable quality - boureks were great on day, just ok the next. But eggs consistently excellent, fruit and cheese very good, etc. The main restaurant (Lighthouse) was just ok.
Best restaurant was Trattoria Rosemarino in Persast, especially wonderful at sunset. 50 euros each way for boat transfer the best we could do, discounted from 70 euros through the restaurant.
The road to Kotor is very windy, wife got car sick so only went once. Pretty town (small) and then took the cable car which is a few windy miles away. Always have someone call you a taxi, otherwise it’s predatory. The restaurants and cable car ticket office all were happy to do so.
And yes, they give unlimited water- asked for six bottles the first day (750), get 6 every subsequent day without asking.
Glad to hear you completed your Balkans trip! Will we be getting a Trip Report with photos from you with photos in the TR forum?
