It's definitely a weird wrinkle as far as the "daily credit" vs. 24hrs. It may be a legal challenge but I think if they impose the daily credit I should be able to use it up until midnight on something. Even if its water bottles. If I have a credit from checkin until midnight as they want to enforce then I need to be able to use such credit for something and its on them to make that something available to create an invoice...Easy answer and customer friendly is to allow use for break (24 hrs) but I think Marriott clearly does not want you to use it.
