FlyngSvyr ’s post about being 3700 PQP short. In my mind I had the question from somebody who was only 2K short, but neither equates to hundreds of thousands of credit card spend. People may differ on the value of 1K, but for many it’s worth it. Is GS better? Yes, but as you correctly point out, you can’t credit card spend your way there. Nor would I recommend credit cards as the main source of PQPs to reach 1K. (Which it seems you thought I was saying.)
YMMV, though, ultimately, we should probably all aim to fly less, not more.
None of this is correct. I replied to your response to my post. My post quoted vladrad, who also was not short 2K PQP. FlyngSyvr was not short 2K PQP either. Neither of them were short 2K PQP. FlyngSvyr is not short 3700 PQP either. They are short 3200 pqp. According to their own post

That will require about
64K spend which is still an opportunity cost of up to hundreds of thousands of points if the United spend is 1X and the other spend can be elevated with another card OR if you took the sign-up option I said before.
