I just completed a 2-night stay here with Mrs. Majuki and her parents to attend the Creative Expo Taiwan. I had booked two rooms in the cheapest category at the time, which were 2 doubled beds with a garden view. At check-in, I was recognized for my status and we received a parking validation for my in-law's car. (Each room gets complimentary parking for one vehicle.) We were also upgraded to a harbor view room, but I follow the Gary Leff definition of it not being a real upgrade unless I can enter the room and tell it's an upgrade without being prompted.
The reception only provided for two breakfasts per day of our stay, so we had 4 in total. We could elect to use all of these on one day, which we did. This was honored when we went down for breakfast the first day. We were also given the option of a discounted breakfast package of NT$400++ per person at check-in. My in-laws didn't initially want to do this, so we declined. However, they changed their minds, and so I was stuck paying full price the second morning. However, I did receive a 10% discount automatically over the list price. The evening drinks for two are still a benefit, but Mrs. Majuki and I did not partake. We did venture up to the rooftop bar to check out the space, but there was a host right at the entrance with a velvet rope blocking the entrance to the space. It was too hot being there in the August heat, so we opted to leave.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and the price was right. The location would be inconvenient without a car, but I would say that's common for most things in Tainan in my experience.
Here are some photos of our room and the breakfast:
