I am 6'7" but I avoid row 1 in all airbus first on UA. They don't seem to have any more pitch, which means they effectively have less pitch because you can't put your feet under the seat in front. You can't stow any hand luggage, and the overhead bins have safety equipment on one side and often Flight Attendant bags or gear on the other, so you have to go back a row or two.. or three. On the airbuses the higher rows don't have the problem of too much recline and broken seat backs getting in your way (like the ex-CO Boeings), so I take 2-3 over 1 every time.
