For my upcoming trip to Yogjakarta in November, i thought to give the MGallery Phoenix hotel a try again .

Only it is not an MGallery anymore

It is now part of the "handwritten collection".
Seems a demotion from luxury to midscale.

Anyway that won't deter me from staying, i am weak against heritage "Tempo Doeloe" hotels.

I did remember the hotel was commited to a renovation, no idea how far the phase is, but i'll do some asking around what the timeline is going to be.
