And that Roy's place (Migrant?) just keeps on slipping. Tried it earlier this year and it's really, really going the wrong direction.
As @boolean64 said, try for the Andaz or Grand Wailea (or Fairmont or Four Seasons). They're all on actual beaches and they all definitely have better food.
Glad to hear the pools are nice though. The views from the pools do look pretty great.
My family and I don't like beaches and the WBR probably has the best pool scene out of all the other nearby resorts, so it's actually perfect in that sense. And I know there are many others who don't care for beaches or don't prioritize it. That adults-only infinity pool is set up so perfectly
