Hi Blueheaven,
It depends probably on what you want to do and preferred area as Dubai is large and the palm is a distance from the main sightseeing points

I stayed at the WA palm, WA DIFC and Conrad last week . All very good hotels. other areas would be the Curio and Canopy in Al seef ( dubai creek)

Diamond will give free full breakfast to at least 2 and probably your son also ( as well as free lounge access at the hotels with lounges ( Conrad & Hilton palm at least)
