I just wanted to update this thread as AGAIN Barclay gave ( my wife this time) a new Wyndham # on her new personal Earner credit card despite her supplying her current Wyndham Diamond # on the application.
Since we have been through this before my wife decided to spend the $2,000 to get the 75K Wyndham points before merging the accounts.
After all the points posted to her new Wyndham Account she called Wyndham to have the points transferred to her old Wyndham Diamond acct and her new account closed...........make sure they don't close the wrong account especially if only one is Diamond.
They said it would take up to 14 days to transfer the points, at day 14 the points were still not transferred so she emailed Wyndham giving both acct numbers and explaining the situation and less than 24 hours later she recieved a reply stating the points had been moved and sure enough they were.
Take screenshots as they do close the duplicate account immediately and just in case there is an issue you want proof of how many points you had.
